With ePigeon Instant Messaging 5, you can distribute electronic packages such as installation programs and software updates. Only users with “Packager” roles or higher can send such packages. Packages are sent in exactly the same way as messages with attached documents, except that there are no restrictions regarding the type of file to be sent. Packages can be sent to be run automatically – the package will be opened or run (depending on the type of package) as soon as the recipient acknowledges the message.
As opposed to messages, packages have neither a “Level” property nor an “Exact time” property. Furthermore, recipients cannot reply to a package.
