ePigeon Instant Messaging software includes a full range of tools necessary to communicate effectively. ePigeon Instant Messaging is a fast, comprehensive, discreet and cost-effective local area network (LAN) instant messaging system for Windows!
It enables you to send messages, warnings, alerts or alarms to remote clients. Messages are displayed in a scrolling banner designed not to be intrusive fro the addressee. Therefore, an employee busy on the phone to a client or working on his computer will not be hampered by any message received. Messages scroll in a specifically chosen area of the screen, and will scroll permanently until it has been read.
Each message can be sent out with configurable levels of importance. By default, the system is shipped with four adjustable levels: MESSAGE, WARNING, ALERT and ALARM.

A sound can be played before the first time a message is displayed. Each level can have its own sound. Contrary to alerts, alarms feature a continuous sound on the client workstation.

ePigeon is a POWERFUL message management tool!

• Messages can either be sent to all users or exclusively to designated users. They can be sent to one or more workstations, or to one or more users, to one or more groups of users (domain groups, ePigeon groups or personal groups), to an IP address or a range of IP addresses, or any combination of the above.
• Messages can be defined as being aimed exclusively to connected users, or to both connected users and users who will connect later on. Messages can be defined to be read just once, or to appear every time a client logs on to the server.
• With ePigeon, you can easily change, cancel and/or re-submit your messages in order to request fast reactions from addressees.
• With ePigeon, you can schedule the time and date for your messages to be broadcast. You can also create messages that will repeat at given intervals. You can even set an expiry date after which a message will no longer be displayed.

ePigeon is LICENSED according to the number of connections!

ePigeon Clients are easy to use: all you have to do is click on an “OK” button to confirm that a message has been received and read. The ePigeon Client connects to the designated ePigeon Server automatically.
You can install as many ePigeon components as you wish at no extra cost. However, the maximum number of simultaneous connections is set by a bought license.

Managing messages through a SIMPLE interface!

Each message in the database is displayed through an Outlook-style interface. You can group your messages together according to the properties of your choice. A visual indication tells you the message level, its status and its method of delivery.

You can change, delete, re-submit or cancel any message you choose from any workstation on your network. You can get a list of people or workstations where a message has been displayed, you can find out who is online and who isn’t, you can instantly change a order to a client, organize your messages, re-schedule a message or order a message to repeat at regular intervals (from between 1 minute and 99 years, or each time the client logs-on). You can do all this from the administration interface in your ePigeon Client.

It’s EASY to create or change messages with ePigeon!

All you have to do is type in a text, select some options (or use the default options), designate a group of addressees or all users, and simply submit your message. You can select addressees from lists of users, machines, personal groups, ePigeon groups or your domain groups (NT or AD).

Messages are not only generated by people, but can also be generated by machines by using the ePigeon NT Generator. This generator has an interface with a command line linked to the ePigeon Server, capable of being used remotely.

Generate messages from UNIX machines too!

A Unix version of Pigeon Generator is also included. You can use however many Pigeon Generators for Unix that you require, at no extra cost. The ePigeon Server is compatible with the old Pigeon Unix Generator, version 2.1.

ePigeon enables a CONFIGURABLE client installation!

You can pre-configure the installation of an ePigeon Client by using a setup.ini file. You can even create several .ini configuration files (such as sales.ini, marketing.ini, etc.) and is the .ini file as a setting for the client installation program. Or you can simply use the required settings for the installation program (such as the name of the ePigeon Server).
